Colin Martin - Star
Colin Martin has served as the President & CEO of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce since November 2018. During his tenure in Fayette County, the Chamber has focused its efforts on economic development generally and talent attraction and retention specifically, as well as advocacy. In 2019, the Chamber hosted the first Diversity & Inclusion Summit and welcomed Gov. Prior to the Fayette Chamber, Colin served as President & CEO of the Harris County Chamber of Commerce in Hamilton, GA and worked as a Field Representative for Congressman Lynn Westmoreland. He began his chamber career as Vice President of Governmental Affairs for the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce in Columbus, GA. Colin is the Sergeant at Arms for the Rotary Club of Peachtree City, the Chairman of the Board for Georgia Habitat for Humanity, and an ex-officio member of the board for Mainstreet Fayetteville and the Fayette County Education Foundation. Colin completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Georgia, also earning a commission in the US Army Field Artillery. Beth, his bride of 30 years, is a family medicine physician in Columbus and they have two daughters, one an aerospace engineering graduate student at Georgia Tech and the other a social work undergraduate at the University of Georgia.
Teresa Barbee - Pro
This year Teresa Barbee will be participating in her 7th year as a Pro with Fayette Dancing Stars. Clearly, she has a love and passion for dancing. The 2017 dancing event was particular memorable because She was partnered with Mr. Kevin Barbee and the charities weren’t the only one to feel the love that year! They were blissfully wed in 2019. She has performed many styles, from the Waltz, to the Rumba, and enjoys learning line dancing and many types of ballroom dancing with Rachel Ferguson. Teresa is a long-time resident of Sharpsburg and the mother of 2 beautiful daughters and one amazing son who serves in the US Navy and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Teresa is a self-employed owner/entrepreneur of Helping Hands Cleaning Service. Teresa has been blessed with her successful business for over 30 years. Teresa loves helping to raise money for local charities. When not dancing Teresa enjoys the outdoors, especially the beach, and spending time with friends.
